Mayte Carranco comes from the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, Monterrey. She may not be the world’s biggest name, but her career started on an interesting note. She was working on her music career as a young girl hoping to become a singer but things changed when she won a beauty pageant. She joined News Televisa crew in Monterrey in 2007. Since then, she has not slowed down, and in 2009 she even took the title of Miss Televisa Monterrey!

Kait Parker is passionate about causes like environmental pollution and climate change. We’re glad she’s using her Weather Channel app platform, weather.com, and Good Morning America to highlight these issues. She took it to next level in 2016, making a documentary called Toxic Lake: The Untold Story of Lake Okeechobee. She exposed Florida’s water mismanagement and cyanobacteria. She left The Weather Channel that year, but didn’t stop working on environmental activism. She has also worked in Alabama, Florida, and Missouri in the past.
