Hannah Zakaria (West Wing Receptionist) — $48,800

Searching through the 2019 payroll report, we found 60 members of the White House staff who earned an annual salary of less than $50,000. One of them is the West Wing receptionist, Hannah Zakaria. She started at the White House as an intern in September 2018 and three months later, she took on her current role. Leah Katz-Hernandez held the unenviable position in 2016. She pulled down $48,000 as Obama’s West Wing receptionist.

Kellyanne Conway (Assistant To The President And Senior Counselor) — $183,000

Several members of the White House staff are listed as the assistant to the president, but there is only one senior counselor and that is Kellyanne Conway. She has been with Trump since his campaign’s early days and has been rewarded, getting paid $183,000 a year. During Obama’s tenure, no senior counselor was on staff, so it’s not easy to compare Conway’s salary to that of previous advisors, but Trump clearly values her role since she’s among the highest-paid staff members.
