We’re all aware of how famous landmark signs are. They’re a huge tourist draw. We’re not sure why, but people seem to like reading about a 500-year-old case that took place right where they are now. It may be a way for people to feel like they’re a part of history. Imagine traveling hundreds of miles to arrive at your destination and come face to face with this sign. Although it’s amusing, we don’t think we’d find it amusing after a long and boring drive.

This is a cute way of asking people not to walk on the lawn. People are much more likely to pay attention to a signal like this than to the standard ‘keep off the lawn’ sign. Although it is a little passive-aggressive, we assume it is the best choice in this situation and makes it better. When they see this sign, what kind of beast would suggest crawling on the weak grass? There isn’t a single sane person in the room.
