Not For Sale
Asking people what they can’t have is often the only way to get across to them and get their attention. Anyone who is forbidden in any way would be enticed to do just what they are not allowed to do. To put it another way, it’s reverse psychology. This building’s owner was obviously disappointed and wanted to try a different approach to selling their property. They tried a different path than simply posting a “for sale” sign.

This is a warning that made us laugh so hard that we couldn’t stop ourselves. Someone should have known that putting up a big sign saying “no signs on the yard” would end up backfiring sooner or later. In terms of revenge, this is most definitely not what they intended, but it’s so well executed that we can’t help but admire whoever did it. It’s all so well done, from the sass to the simplicity to the ambiguous threat to the terms.
