Welp, this adorable couple actually met at a bar while at the Deauville American Film Festival. When Douglas learned Zeta-Jones would be, he asked his publicist to arrange an introduction over drinks. As the evening came to an end, Douglas epically told Zeta-Jones, “I’m going to be the father of your children.” While he thought he sounded good, Zeta-Jones wasn’t so impressed, “She said, ‘I’ve heard a lot about you and I’ve seen a lot about you, and I think it’s time that I said goodnight.’” Immediately Douglas thought he blew his chance so he sent an apology note and flowers. “Obnoxiously so, I have to say,” Zeta-Jones said later on about his pickup line that special night. “What really annoys me is that he was right.” Never change, you two!

Personal Battle
Sadly in 2010, Catherine Zeta-Jones left work aside in order to support her husband through an extremely difficult time, Michael was diagnosed with tongue cancer. While he successfully beat tongue cancer, the family crisis strained their relationship. With Catherine saying, “When you get sideswiped like that [with the illness] it’s an obvious trigger for your balance to be a little bit off – not sleeping, worry, stress.” As a result, Zeta-Jones fell into a massive depression.
