Many times, people argue about whether or not college football players should be paid. But what about the students behind the scenes and the jobs they hold? While the jobs that students hold don’t compare in magnitude to the work that the coaching staff do, they are however an integral part of the team. Check out the pretty nifty list of jobs that you can have in college football that help contribute to the team.
Journalist
If you’re an aspiring journalist, doesn’t matter if you want to be a sports journalist or not, gaining first hand experience is paramount to the kind of future you want. Just being able to cover games and get your own opinion out there is important. Plus, it will only help you get your career started, college is a time to grow and learn and make mistakes. As a journalist, you have to know how to pick yourself back up and just keep going. Not only do you get to voice your own options, but you can attend the games for free, get up close to players and you can even become something of a star on campus. Not too shabby, eh?
Event Workers
As an event worker, your biggest and most important job is to make sure absolutely everything runs smoothly during games, but it’s also a lot of fun. Your job could literally be anything from helping people find their seats or someone who hands out stat sheets or you could be responsible to get people to sign up to contests (you could be the guy to fire the t-shirt cannon into the crowd). Your job is never the same, you’re always doing something different!
