Wardrobe Check!
Not only was she pushing the boundaries with her music but also her wardrobe! Many of her outfits were unusual, extravagant, and often than not, barely-there. More often that not, she used her outfits to make a point – like at the 1986 Academy Awards. She wore the famous black chain-link halter and a feather headdress, which to hear was in protest when she didn’t receive a nomination for her work in the film Mask.

Ahem, Cher opened up about her feelings toward Madonna in an interview so long ago, “I never hated her, I just thought she was a b**ch. Actually, I quite respect her. Actually, I think Madge might be one of the most amazing artists I’ve known. I don’t like everything she does, for sure, but she is always riding the crest of the wave. She always saw trends WAY before anyone else, and had great videos.”
