Official, traditional weddings be darned, Sonny and Cher were madly in love – and they didn’t conform with society’s “rules”. Which is exactly why they tied the knot in Tijuana, Mexico in their hotel room! With no friends, family, or even a minister, in 1964, the duo said “I Do.” Cher was just 18 when they exchanged their $10 souvenir rings to bless their ‘marriage’. Oh, the rings were engraved with each other’s names.
