Yeoman Janice Rand was Captain James T. Kirk’s personal assistant who appeared in just eight of the first 13 episodes. Straight after, Rand was released from her contract. However once fans started asking for her at conventions, she reprised her role in the 70’s.

Rand appeared in over 100 television shows, sang in orchestras and bands, and wrote an autobiography. Sadly she passed away in 2015.

Next up is Kira Nerys, a former freedom fighter/terrorist from Bajor. Nana Visitor would win an OFTA Television Award for Best Actress in a Syndicated Series for this very role. Visitor is also known as Jean Ritter from the television series Wildfire.
