Leonardo DaVinci
DaVinci is often regarded as an extraordinary artist. That’s not surprising, his work has stood the test of time. However on his death bed, he supposedly said something very contradictory to the quality of work we all know.
DaVinci said, “I have offended God and mankind because my work did not reach the quality it should have.” He had no idea the legacy he was leaving behind.
Oscar Wilde
Oscar Wilde will always be remembered as one of London’s most popular playwrights in the early 1890s, his literary works still live on and we’re pretty sure always will. He’s written amazing classics like The Picture of Dorian Gray and The Importance of Being Earnest.
Sadly, he was imprisoned for his sexual orientation and then ended up destitute in Paris. He died at the age of 46 while in Paris, uttering his final words, “Either that wallpaper goes, or I do.”
