Ludwig van Beethoven
Does Beethoven really need an introduction? Probably not but in any case, he was a German composer and pianist. Okay fine, to this day, he remains one of the most famous and incredibly influential composers of all time.
Beethoven will forever be the most famous classical pianist. He passed away at age 57 with his last words being, “Friends applaud, the comedy is over.”
Thomas Edison
Ah, America’s most famous inventor…the one and only, Thomas Edison. The brilliant inventor Thomas Edison’s last words were rather close in spirit to Jobs’s own reported exit line.
According to numerous sources, which include the book “Edison: Inventing the Century” by Neil Baldwin, just hours before his death, Edison apparently emerged from a coma. At that moment, he opened his eyes and looked upwards as he uttered his final words, “It is very beautiful over there.”
