You know the whole, “New year, new me” expression? Well forget the “new me” part! We’re here to talk about all the new movies coming out this year – we mean all the comedies, action flicks, romance, action, drama, the list could go on and on, films that have everyone is talking in 2018. Without further ado, here the 15 movies you need watch this year, grab some popcorn and read on!

The Avengers are back it again! This time the team and their allies (i.e. the Guardians of the Galaxy) must sacrifice everything if they are to defeat the powerful Thanos, who has his sights set on destroying the universe. And if that’s not reason enough, how about the cast lineup: Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Zoe Saldana, and the list goes on! See it in theaters on May 4, 2018.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

A sequel to the 2015 Jurassic World, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and B. D. Wong are back at it! With James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall joining the rest of the cast. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom follows a team hell bent on rescuing dinosaurs after a volcanic explosion, however the rescue leads to a threatening conspiracy. Set for release on June 22, 2018.

Ocean’s 8

Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Awkwafina, Damian Lewis, Richard Armitage, and James Corden. Need we say more? I mean, that list is impressive beyond words. Plus it’s an all-female reboot of the Ocean’s Trilogy trilogy, 2018 is shaping up to be quite the year. See you in theaters on June 8, 2018.

Tomb Raider

This 2018 flick is actually based 2013 video game, Crystal Dynamics, and features as a reboot of the Tomb Raider film series. The cast includes Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, Nick Frost, and Kristin Scott Thomas. March 16, 2018 is the official release date.

The wisecracking mercenary is back! Unfortunately the theme behind the sequel is being kept under wraps, however we’re sure it’ll be phenomenal. As if you weren’t already aware of the cast, here it is once more: Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić, Zazie Beetz, Josh Brolin, and Jack Kesy. Eek! Can’t wait for June 1, 2018.

That’s right, Mission: Impossible is back, folks! And yes, the original cast is set to reprise their roles (Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, and Sean Harris) – fret not, a few new faces will be making an appearance (Henry Cavill, Vanessa Kirby, Sian Brooke, and Angela Bassett). Finally, the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is here – although we do have to wait until November 16, 2018 for it to hit theaters! We won’t bother to explain the plot to you, it’s too magical for words. It’s been 54 years since Mary Poppins first hit the big screen and forever changed our lives. Bring a spoon full of sugar with you on December 25, 2018 – on the other hand, maybe don’t.

12 Strong

12 Strong is based on Doug Stanton’s non-fiction book Horse Soldiers, which tells the story of a Special Forces team sent to Afghanistan after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon, Michael Peña, Navid Negahban, Trevante Rhodes, Geoff Stults, Thad Luckinbill, William Fichtner, and Rob Riggle make up the cast. Fret not, you don’t need to wait long to see it in theaters, January 19, 2018 is the date to mark!

Our favorite real life couple is finally in a film together, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, duh.
