1928 Mercedes-Benz S-Type 26/120/180 Sports Tourer
The 1928 Mercedes-Benz S-Type 26/120/180 Sports Tourer was auctioned at Sotheby’s last 2017 and one of the reasons why the Mercedes-Benz S-Type sold for an expensive price was because it counted two well-known people as its previous owners. They were Al Jolson, an entertainer, and Brooks Stevens, a designer. The CCCA certified the 1928 Mercedes-Benz S-Type 26/120/180 Sports Tourer as a Full Classic. It was also the inspiration for the two classic racing cars that Mercedes also produced – the SSK and SSKL. The Mercedes-Benz S-Type was supercharged because of its 6.8L straight-six engine with a horsepower of 180. The Mercedes-Benz S-Type’ s body was a one-time design by Glaser that was never reproduced.

Porsche 550 Spyder
There were only 90 of the Porsche 550 Spyder sleek silver racers that had been produced and it was created from 1953 until 1956. All of the 90 cars were assembled in Stuttgart, Germany. The two-door Porsche 550 Spyder came in coupe form. The sports car had a 1.5L DOHC Flat Four engine, and the buyers could choose between a four or five-speed manual transmission. The Porsche 550 Spyder was deemed to be a dominant car that time and even won its first race at the Nurburgring Eifel Race. And after its first race, it was always included in the top 3 within its racing class. The Porsche 550 Spyder had inspired the design of countless of the top-level ‘60s race cars.
