1971 Pontiac GTO Judge
Even though there were tons of Pontiac GTOs that had been produced, there were only a few Pontiac GTO Judges created by the company. The Pontiac GTO Judge was an optional variation, but the production had been discontinued in February 1971. There were only 357 1971 Pontiac GTO Judges that had been sold, and 17 of these were convertibles. The price of the Pontiac GTO Judge was boosted because of the rarity. The Judge’s name was inspired from Rowan & Martin’ s Laugh-In Show, a comedy routine that included a Here Come de Judge skit. The Pontiac GTO Judge cost $332 when it was first made, and the ads had one-liners like “The Judge can be bought.”
1970 Ford Torino King Cobra
One of the limited editions of the Ford Torino was the 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra and was intended to dominate NASCAR. The Ford Torino King Cobra had aerodynamic alterations that greatly changed how it looked compared to the standard Ford Torino. The 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra had a sloped front end, dual cut-out headlamps, and a large bottom breather grille. The only similar design it had was the side stripe that the ’68 and ’69 Ford Torino cars also had. It was unfortunate that the Ford Torino King Cobra Project had been ditched because NASCAR required production to increase from 500 to 3,000 and making 3,000 of the 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra was too expensive.
