Between 1980 and 1984, he was a Saturday Night Live cast member as an actor, singer, and comic. For his role in The Beverly Hills Cop, Eddie Murphy is perhaps best known to the public. His performance as Donkey in the Shrek films was also excellent. He was named the 10th most incredible stand-up of all time by Comedy Central.
