Chris was stopped for the possession of marijuana in his luggage. He was on his way to Barbados to promote a new sneaker launch for the company Fila. The sportswear company later dropped Chris, and charged him with $2.61 million USD for breach of contract.

Timeout Trouble
During the 1993 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championships, Chris made an infamous timeout call that cost his team the title. With just 10 seconds left on the clock in the 4th quarter, the Michigan Wolverines were down 73-71 to the North Carolina Tar Heels. Chris called for a timeout, not realizing his team didn’t have any left…! This resulted in a technical foul, and a big loss for the Wolverines. We’re sure he beats himself up over this mistake to this day…poor guy!
