Television shows, mainly reality shows, always have a risk of changing. It’s very rare for one to keep going with nothing changing along the way. After its 6th season, Swamp people went through a huge change. The shift started when 12 cast members suddenly were replaced. Not to mention, the History Channel never explained the reasoning behind it. Fans only found this out in the 7th season premiere.

People who watched Mountain Men got to watch a group of people looking for a simple way to live. However, viewers couldn’t help but feel somewhat tricked by the cast. After all, Jason Hawk runs an online store. Not to mention, Nancy and Tom Oar have cable. These things clearly show that it isn’t all that authentic.
