While the vet was examining the pair of animals, he wondered how they found each other. He thought that pit bull missed her young pups. They were either weaned off or had suddenly died leaving her with tons of milk. It was good timing for the kitten. The doctor speculated that the pit bull probably saw the kitten and wanted to take care of it.

The rescuers spotting the pit bull at the right moment was another lucky break for the kitten. The vet revealed that it wouldn’t be long before the pit bull’s milk dried up which would have left the kitten without a source of sustenance. If the rescuers had not found them, it was very likely the kitten would not survive for long. Finding the two of them at the right time was almost a miracle.
