Plant Spring-Blooming Bulbs
These florals such as tulips, daffodils, crocuses, and hyacinths should be planted before fall before the ground freeze over. The best way is to plant the bulb in a hole three times the length of the actual bulb. Simply wait till the following season.
Avoid Wet Soil
Planting and working in wet soil damages the soil structure which means it will not work to its full potential. It is definitely better to simply wait until the soil is crumbly and no longer forms a wet ball in your hands- this will also be more productive.
