Save Plastic Containers
If you do not have soda bottles on hand to build a mini greenhouse of your own, you can use plastic to-go containers from food places. Plastic clamshell containers will serve as the perfect place for your seeds. Simply wash the container when you are done eating and add soil to the bottom. After that, you just have to plant the seeds with sufficient space between each other so that they can flourish. Put the lid over the container and place it beside a window to give it enough sunlight. The container will keep the moisture inside but let the sun reach the seeds.
Repurpose Toilet Paper Rolls
When you are done using a roll of toilet paper, all you have left will be the cardboard tube. Did you know that it is excellent for starting seeds? You only have to use a waterproof container and pile empty tubes into it. Add potting soil into each tube and put the seeds inside. When it is time to plant them into the garden, you can place the cardboard into the ground because it will decompose in the future. As a matter of fact, the seeds can stay safe as they germinate if you just leave it on!
