A ‘Dream Team’ member and two-time gold medalist, Michael Jordan needs no introduction. After winning his second gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, Jordan would then win four more NBA Titles. After he retired, he purchased a minority stake in what was then called Charlotte Bobcats (now the Charlotte Hornets). In 2014, Jordan became the team’s majority owner and still own the franchise today. Buoyed by the iconic Jordan Brand, he became a billionaire back in 2014.

Greg Louganis
Another athlete whose impact goes far beyond sports, Louganis is the greatest diver of all time. He is the second and only male diver in the history of the Olympics to win both diving events in two straight Olympics (1984, 1988). In 1995, the famed diver revealed he was HIV-positive and to this day, remains an activist for HIV awareness and gay rights. In recent years, Louganis earned a spot on the California Sports Hall of Fame and the National Gay and Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame. He was also a torch bearer at the World Games Special Olympics in 2015.
