Venus Williams

With 4 gold medals and 1 silver, we are extremely familiar with this fan-favorite and tennis legend. Having 5 medals ties her with another athlete in having the most Olympic medals in tennis. Venus is still playing tennis but has taken an entrepreneurial route by starting an interior design firm, writing a book and launching her own fashion line alongside retailer Steve & Barry’s. Did we mention her and sister Serena became part owners of the Miami Dolphins?

Teresa Edwards

Teresa Edwards is the first female basketball player to compete in 5 Olympic Games and won her first gold at the mere age of 20. She now holds 4 golds and 1 bronze. She also made history in 2000 when she won gold and became the oldest gold medalist in women’s basketball. She was on the USA Basketball Board of Directors between 2009-2012. Edwards auctioned off one of her Olympic Gold Medal in order to donate the proceeds to athletes in need and bring spotlight to the cause of struggling athletes.
