In the music industry, winning a Grammy is of the highest honors. The prestige of such an award can catapult an artist’s career to the next level. However, there are those who’ve amassed many Grammys over the years, winning time and time again. With a total of 84 categories celebrating the best of all music genres, thousands of music creators have been recognized by the Grammys since they’ve come to be in 1957. Have you ever wondered who among them have won the most Grammys in total? Who has collected the highest amount of Grammys over the course of their career?
Taylor Swift – 10 Wins
So far, it’s safe to say that Taylor Swift has had an incredible career. Since her start as a singer-songwriter in 2008, she’s gone on to win a total of 10 Grammys. Just in 2016, she won three Grammys, including for album of the year for “1989”. On top of her wins, she’d been nominated for no less than 35 Grammy Awards in the 14 years she’d been singing. In fact, she became the youngest-ever artist to win album of the year when she won it at age 20. Currently, that record is held by none other than Billie Eilish, who won the same award at age 18 just this year.
Adele – 15 Wins
If anyone can turn heartbreak into gold, it’s Adele. Her first studio album, “19” turned her into an overnight star. By the time her next album was released, she was riding a major wave of success. To date, she’s won 10 Grammys, including six she’d one in one night at the 2011 Grammys on her second album, “21”. In fact, Adele has one of the best winning percentages in Grammys history. Out of 18 nominations, she’s won 15 of them. She only lost three times, in 2009 and 2010, meaning that she hasn’t lost a nomination she’d been up for ever since.
