Peace Treaties
Regardless, Israel has been able to establish peace treaties with two of these neighbors. The first one was Egypt. In 1979, they signed an agreement that made them the first country in the MENA to recognize the State of Israel. Next, there is Jordan. The country signed a peace treaty in 1994 that made it the second Arab country to acknowledge the State of Israel.
