The publicity department of NBC held a fake wedding for Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman a week before the broadcast of the wedding episode. They invited writers from all over the country to the event, which was held at the Officer’s Club at Patrick Air Force Base. Sadly, the actors and the fans hated the wedding episode of the show! No one thought that it was practical or sincere. Everyone then turned away from I Dream Of Jeannie, which was canceled not long after the wedding episode came out.

On top of that, she knew that it was going to ruin the sexual tension of the show and ruin its credibility. No matter how she felt about it, they did look good together. The show addressed the fact that she was a genie, but people did not forget that she can’t be photographed!
