‘Unsinkable’?

It’s made a huge deal in the film that the Titanic is unsinkable due to its size and power. The captain, the crew, and the majority of the passengers all believed it. Some people, however, were doubtful. However, the belief that the Titanic was unsinkable has some historical validity. According to Titanic: Uncovering the Secrets of the World’s Greatest Shipwreck, a passenger called Sylvia Caldwell asked the question, “Is this ship really nonsinkable?” “Yes, lady,” said the deckhand. This ship could not be sunk by God.” Cal and Ruth said the identical lines in the film.

Several times throughout the film, crew members are visible in the photos, but this is the most obvious oversight. We travel through the ship as Jack is received in first class, evidently viewing everything via Jack’s eyes as we continue onward. As we approach the glass doors, we realize we’re not in Jack’s shoes at all. In the glass reflection, there is a camera that was never cut out.
