Here comes the sun
To James Cameron’s credit, he tried his utmost to ensure that the ship’s voyage appeared believable. But, because we know the Titanic’s true path, we can pinpoint exactly when he was mistaken. Jack and Rose are spitting over the deck right before supper during the legendary deck-spitting incident (did we really need that, by the way?). Because they’re on the ship’s port side, they’re moving northwest, although the ship was actually traveling southwest. We realize it’s a minor annoyance, but it’s still a mistake.
Smashing windows
When the Captain is on the bridge and witnesses the water crashing through the glass as it gives way, it is one of the most emotional scenes in the film. Cameron reshot the sequence from multiple different angles to create a dramatic effect since he thought it was a striking shot. The water, on the other hand, came in differently each time it was photographed. So, while in one shot, the windows break in the sequence one, two, three, four, in the next perspective, the windows break in the opposite order – one, two, four, three.
