The automobiles were meant to be locked
In a classic love scene, Jack and Rose enter one of the Titanic’s cars and have their way with one other, judging by the amount of steam in the car. But how were the two going to open one of the cars? In actuality, there were cars on board the ship, but they were locked. They apparently didn’t want random individuals to enter their cars and defile them. Unless car hijacking was one of Jack’s talents, they’d have to acquire a room, as they say.
Read her lipstick
As we all know, the film takes place in 1912, during the Titanic disaster. Rose’s wealthy upbringing meant she wouldn’t have worn the iconic red lipstick Kate Winslet wore in the film. In fact, she would most likely not have worn makeup at all. Wearing cosmetics was unusual among upper-class women in England at the time, and was linked with suffragettes and lower-class females who had not received a “proper” upbringing. But we have to admit, Kate looks great with that lipstick.
