When they finally made it the United States, no one was surprised to hear of her arrival. Journalists flocked the Olympic legend and asked about her future plans. She managed to answer them with a wonderful smile and broken English. There were Americans who were told negative things about her and remained unsure whether they should welcome. However, most people were thrilled to have her.
