Europe was introduced to the promising star back during the 1975 European Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Skien, Norway. She earned the gold medal for all her performances except for one, though she got a silver in that one. At the age of 13, she already blew away the spectators.

The American Cup
It came to time for her to make her worldwide debut. Nadia Comăneci then competed during the American Cup in 1976, which served as her trial run for the Summer Olympics held in Montreal, Canada. The teenager was already taking the world by storm with her perfect scores.
