Summer Olympics
Four months later, Nadia made a name for herself in Montreal this time. The judges all watched in amazement as the young girl dominated the stage during the 1976 Olympic Games. Her flawless performances even broke world records. She got a score of 10 for her routine. Not only that, but she also managed to get six more awards throughout the competition. Nadia Comăneci was the first person to achieve such a thing during the Olympics.
Confusion In The Crowd
Omega SA, the manufacturer of the Olympics digital scoreboards, did not believe it would ever come to this point. After all, no one ever achieved a score of “10” before, which is why the scoreboards have not been programmed to show a “10”. What showed up was “1.00” instead. No one understood what it meant in the beginning, though they eventually figured it out.
