Military Family
Although being a military wife is widely respected, the lifestyle isn’t always so easy and comes with it’s fair share of challenges. By this point though, Chris and his wife Natasha were used to their share of sacrifices and challenges. The couple lived together in Temecula, California with three young children, and made sure to make the most of their time together between deployments. Still whenever the deployment time came back around, they still never quite got used to it.

When the time came, the whole family set off to the port to send off Petty Officer Chris Daugherty on his travels. He was being deployed on the USS Vinson to work as a Navy cryptologic technician in waters just off of the Korean Peninsula. His job would be to decipher codes and signals, which is quite ironic – as he had no clue that there was something cryptic happening back at home, while he was away.
