Homeward Bound
Before long, the full six month deployment came to an end and it must have seemed like forever to the couple. As Chris’s Navy ship set sail on the long voyage home, he was full of excitement to finally be reunited with his family. The Daugherty’s children were also bursting with emotions and could barely contain their excitement to finally see their dad again. Still, Natasha couldn’t be certain how Chris would react when he saw her and realized she had been keeping such a big secret from him for six months. But as Chris sailed with his crew towards the West coast, he wouldn’t have realized what what news was waiting for him on his return.

When the big day finally arrived, on June 23, 2017, Natasha excitedly took all her children all the way to San Diego to meet Chris where his ship docked. As Chris disembarked, he managed to spot his loving family in the crowd, and couldn’t help but burst into the biggest jaw-dropping smile, grinning from ear to ear.
