Operating Room Nurse

Operating room nurses are also known as perioperative nurses, these are the nurses that care for patients throughout the surgical process. They are with patients before, after, and during surgery. These nurses have the important job of also being a communicating link between patients and their families post-op, meaning they prepare the families for any necessary postoperative care. These nurses are empathetic and understand the stress that surgery places not only on patients but on their families too.

Home Health Nurse

This nursing profession is exactly what it sounds like, a nurse that cares for patients in the comfort of their own home. Usually, these patients are elderly, or young people with mobility issues and some times developmental issues. This type of nursing is for individuals who are looking to work elsewhere rather than a normal hospital or medical center. However, naturally, you still need to want to work with patients.
