In 2007, Greg Oden became the first overall pick of the Portland Trailblazers. This meant that they put a lot of hope in him! Unfortunately, he suffered a lot of injuries over the course of his career. He only played 23 games before retiring due to chronic foot issues. At the end of his NBA career, he decided to go into school basketball. He accepted the student manager position of the men’s basketball team at Ohio State, which let him return to school and study. In 2019, Oden earned a degree in the sports industry. He went on to accept the position of athlete adviser at Edyoucore Sports and Entertainment.

Some people will find this the most surprising job on the list. Adrian Dantley spent 15 years in the NBA and finished his career with 23,000 points to his name. His name is also found in the Hall of Fame. At first, he went into coaching before finally becoming a crossing guard. It was a low-profile job that allegedly fetched him an annual salary of $14,000. We can tell that money is not an issue for him. He is the sort of guy who likes to help others. It must help that it has health benefits. Besides that, he spends his spare time working as a referee for recreational and high school squads.
