Mayonnaise-Based Salads With Fruit

The first image that springs to mind when we think about salads is a colorful dish filled with protein, nuts, seeds, and superfoods. A little creamy avocado is beneficial! And of course, a dressing that is light and low in fat. Let alone if you’re not too worried about your health, everyone agrees that drenching salad in mayonnaise is a bad idea. We can’t be the only ones who think this negates the point of a “salad,” can we? It’s a little bizarre to think of baby boomers eating salads in this manner. A bygone era in which dousing broccoli in copious amounts of mayonnaise was perfectly fine. We’re in complete shock!

In certain cases, plain Jell-O might work. Imagine that you have food illness and are in severe need of medical attention. Alternatively, you may be in the hospital and find it intolerable to think about eating anything else. The worst cuisine to come out of America in the 1970s is without a doubt the abomination known as Jell-O salads. The really bad news is this. “Jell-O for salads” has no real vegetables in it. Rather, they have an odd faux veggie medley seasoning on them. How this trend started and has remained so popular is beyond us. As an alternative to vegetables, use Jell-O. We have now witnessed all of it.
