Glazed carrots
To start with, did you realize that carrots—those sweet, innocent orange roots we all adore—already contain a lot of sugar? You may as well be eating candy with carrots since they are so delicious. For this reason, glazing carrots is like to taking out your own teeth first. Go ahead and indulge if you’re courageous enough to enter the world of tooth-aching sweets. Just be ready to face the repercussions. Purchase extra-strength toothpaste or keep a dentist on fast dial. It’s a sweet catastrophe just waiting to happen. For our part, we prefer carrots in all of their crisp, natural state. Why douse them with sugar?
Fruitcake
The cake appears more fitting for the top of a Christmas tree than within a person’s body. Fruitcake can also refer to someone who is utterly mad, according to Urban Dictionary. Makes sense, as you have to be that in order to prepare or consume this dessert. That then, you’d have a reason, at least. Fruitcake is a fairly traditional holiday dish, but it appears that the fixation millennials have with fitness and health may make the tradition obsolete. Is the era of fruitcakes, which everyone despises, coming to an end? I hope it’s soon. These thick pastries loaded with sugar don’t fit anyone’s New Year’s resolutions.
