While sifting through his belongings, Anthony noticed the sealed packet the previous owner had left for Reggie. Anthony never opened it since he wasn’t sure about Reggie. The dog, on the other hand, looked at him with surprise in his eyes as he rummaged through his old belongings. Reggie was overjoyed and ecstatic. It was the first time Anthony had seen him in that light. Reggie seemed to be taking a trip down memory lane. This compelled Anthony to open the letter and discover why the owner had abandoned Reggie at the shelter.

To The New Owner:
“To whoever gets my dog: Well, I can’t say that I’m delighted you’re reading this, a letter I told the shelter could only be opened by Reggie’s new owner,” Anthony finally summoned up the confidence to open the message. “I’m not even sure I want to write it. If you’re reading this, it means I’ve just returned from my last vehicle ride with my Lab, where I dropped him off at the shelter.” You won’t believe what the next letter states.
