Although tattoos are very common now, at a point in time, they were actually quite taboo. This woman was hired by the circus because her tattoos were considered quite odd as barely anyone had any.

This woman had freakishly big feet, but no one knows for sure the reason why. The best guess is elephantiasis, but it was still never confirmed. We can’t help but wonder how she possibly got around as walking seems out of the question.
