Andrew Jackson – 145

While it’s still significantly higher than the average person, Andrew Jackson had an IQ of 145, which put him in the median of presidential IQs. Andrew Jackson was the President of the United States for a single term. He held the position from 1829 to 1837. We won’t be surprised to hear that you recognize him from the 20 dollar bill! Isn’t it fascinating to learn that he opposed the creation of paper money and advocated for silver and gold coins instead? At 13 years old, he was the captive of the British in the Revolutionary War. That’s right – this makes him the only President to have once been a prisoner of war. Among other things, he managed to prevent the secession of South Carolina and paid off all the national debt during his term.
