Abraham Lincoln – 150
As the 16th President of the United States, Abraham “Abe” Lincoln managed to attain quite an impressive number of milestones. When he was in office from 1861 to 1865, he instigated the long road to the abolition of slavery and led the Union during the Civil War. He passed the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, a move that established the framework for ending slavery by granting the Salves in the South the status of free people. He also outlawed slavery by putting the 13th amendment into the constitution. Unfortunately, his assassination in 1865 cut his term short and prevented him from witnessing the effects of his all his efforts. Regardless, his legacy continues to live on and polls even revealed that he is still the most popular and best-liked President of the United States. Seeing as he had an IQ of 150, it means he wasn’t just one of the smartest presidents, he was one of the smartest people.

Lincoln’s Assassination
It’s very likely that Abraham Lincoln’s assassination is one of the most notable moments in American history. While watching a performance of Our American Cousin at the the Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C., President Lincoln was shot by actor John Wilkes Booth. The president died hours later, and only 5 days after the end of the Civil War.
