37. Red Hot Chili Peppers

Hardly anyone knows that the band was founded in 1983, as the Red Hot Chili Peppers have only been known since the early 90s. The new line-up with John Frusciante as guitarist already made the Peppers stars back then. A band crisis followed when Frusciante left the band. After reuniting in 1998, they released their most commercially successful album “Californication”.

This was followed by a two-year world tour, further albums, appearances at various well-known festivals and an autobiography. Their album “Stadium Arcadium”, released in 2006, went straight to number 1 in the charts. Today, there is hardly a rock playlist without a hit by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
