She told them, “I think this woman is a con-artist.” She then got a call from them. They told her, “We think you’re right.”

Anna Delvey was soon arrested for her unpaid hotel bills. One newspaper reported on the story with this headline: “WANNABE SOCIALITE BUSTED FOR SKIPPING OUT ON PRICEY HOTEL BILLS.” Anna then hired a lawyer but got out on bail. After that, life seemed to go back to normal for her. She even went to California for a vacation, although she ended up getting arrested when she was in Malibu. She was sent back to New York because she was about “to face six counts of grand larceny and attempted grand larceny, in addition to theft of services.”
