Lew Alcindor took his signature skyhook as UCLA beat Houston with 101-69 in the national semifinals on April 1, 1968. The match was called “The Game of the Century” in that era. Houston defeated UCLA in January, but Lew Alcindor and the Bruins won in the season and earned their second of seven consecutive national titles.
