Avril Lavigne – Hockey
One of Avril Lavigne’s best tracks, “Sk8er Boi,” catapulted her to fame; yet, many people might not be aware that she was a skater girl herself. She stated during an ESPN interview that her father put her on ice skates in the backyard when she was two years old. She played right wing for the boys’ hockey team in high school and won MVP honors twice. Lavigne had to put her skating on hold after signing a music deal at the age of 16. She became known as the “Pop Punk Queen,” releasing a number of albums that were well-received. However, she did acknowledge bringing her skates on tour so she could play street hockey.
Gwen Stefani – Swimming
As the lead vocalist and primary composer for the band No Doubt, Gwen Stefani gained popularity. During her break, Stefani started a solo career and had equal success with her chart-topping singles “What You Waiting For?” and “Cool.” Stefani is lauded for her flare and attractiveness in addition to her vocals. They wrote the songs “Just a Girl” and “Spiderwebs.” She may have developed her incredible body while competing for the swimming team at Loara High School in California.
