While Mikey could not recall how they landed in this mess, he had enough wits about him to look for a solution. He could not find the phone that carried a local SIM, so it must have gotten lost in the accident. However, he was surprised that his American one was in the pocket of his jacket. He took it out and turned on the international roaming setting. The signal was weak, but he knew that it was worth a shot.

“I got it and turned on international roaming and just barely got signal,” he explained. He made up his mind to post an SOS on Facebook. This was what his post said: “Help. In danger. Call police.” After that, the only thing for him to do was to wait. It was a good thing that he did not need to wait a long time! At the time, their fate was in the hands of his Facebook friends. We are glad to hear that his friends had been quick to take action as soon as they saw the distress signal.
