As you can see, people from different parts of the world were banding together to pull off the rescue. In the meantime, Stacey and Mikey had nothing to do but to wait. They just hoped that there was help on the way, but they had been slipping down the ravine slowly. Once his phone died, Mikey started to lose consciousness as well. Despite everything, he promised Stacey that they would soon get out of there. He told CNN, “I really thought we would die so I wanted to comfort her.”

Help Finally Arrived
According to Mikey, they had to wait for three to four more hours before help finally arrived. Once he and Stacey heard noises near them, they used up all the energy that they had left to shout for help. The rescue party heard the pair and managed to pull them out of the ravine. They had probably been there for a significant amount of time. After all, it was morning by the time the rescue was carried out. Now that they were out of the darkness, it was finally possible for them to assess what happened to them.
