He revealed to CNN, “It was the first time seeing how far we went down. It was far.” Moments after they escaped the ravine, they realized just how badly they were doing. The rescue party put Mikey and Stacey on a flatbed truck to ship them over to the nearest hospital. The X-ray results revealed that they were in such bad shape that the hospital was unequipped to give them the treatment they needed. This was the reason they were taken to somewhere with more advanced equipment. Even though they were no longer stuck in the ravine, there was still a huge challenge ahead.

The Extent Of His Injuries
Stacey and Mikey were taken to the Bali BIMC Hospital in a resort town called Kuta. This was where they got the surgeries they needed. He had a skull fracture, a broken wrist, internal damage, perforated bowels, and cracked ribs and spin. He had to get surgery on his skull, wrist, and abdomen for his injuries. They also had to inflate his lungs via chest tubes. He was in the hospital until September 3, 2018.
