Once she arrived home with her new treasure in hand, she unwrapped it and started to inspect it some more. After taking a close look at the metalwork, she wondered how it made it all the way to the thrift store. It is not unusual for secondhand items to come with fascinating stories. Priscilla admired its blue glass as she turned it around in her hands. Without a doubt, it was a truly wonderful piece.

Heavier Than Expected
As it was lying in her hands, she realized that it was even heavier than she first thought. Priscilla might not be an expert, but she was no stranger to glass ornaments. This was how she was able to tell that this one was heavier than most. In the meantime, she tried to ignore this aspect of it and left it in the kitchen on display. It left her mind for a little while. She only remembered it once her daughter came over for a visit.
