When Jack and Laura did eventually get together to begin a romantic relationship, neither of them predicted that their love story would one day come to a screeching halt. The two came from extremely different backgrounds and had opposite upbringings, which may have been the root of some of their problems.

Laura had a luxurious upbringing and was raised in a wealthy family with parents who provided everything for her; she was studying hard in college so she could one day be just as successful. Jack was working as a part-time bartender and didn’t really care much about his educational successes. He didn’t have many dreams or aspirations career-wise. Laura’s parents weren’t the couple’s biggest fans.
